Tottenham bid for Simon Kjaer

Tottenham have reportedly offered Palermo a £13 million bid for Simon Kjaer, the rising Danish international. Kjaer has performed well in two seasons in Serie A, and Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has said that he will sell Kjaer to raise funds for the club. Kjaer is valued between £15-£20 million, and Tottenham has tried to pick him up at a bargain price. Signing Kjaer is a wise move, seeing as Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King are injury-prone. In addition, Spurs' participation in the Champions League will mean additional games for the club.
