Under the guidance of new coach Jose Mourinho, Real Madrid remains active in this summer’s transfer market. Mourinho’s newest target is German standout Thomas Mueller, recipient of the ‘Golden Boot’ award at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

            Mueller’s current club, Bayern Munich, had previously suggested that they would sell their young star. But after Mueller’s showcase in South Africa, reports state that Munich is prepared to offer Mueller a much better deal.

            Real Madrid remain unimpressed with the German club’s actions, though, and are still hot in pursuit of signing the 20 year-old, even claiming that Mueller is among their top priorities in the summer transfer window. Mourinho has made his position clear in that he desperately wants to sign Mueller, and now club president Florentino Perez is on board, wishing to begin negotiations as soon as possible.
