Milan to swap Huntelaar for Babel

Reports out of Italy claim that Klaas-Jan Huntelaar will move to Liverpool, with Ryan Babel moving the other way in the switch. Liverpool are preparing for the possible exit of Fernando Torres, and Huntelaar could offer a decent replacement. AC Milan have stated that Huntelaar is not moving, but the striker has been rumored with several English clubs, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham, and Aston Villa.

A deal seems to be certain eventually, but it remains to be seen if a transfer will help spur Huntelaar. If Torres stays at Anfield, he will have to fight for playing time. Huntelaar's countryman Dirk Kuyt is already a mainstay at the Kop, and if Torres is healthy, he is a guaranteed starter. Young striker Daniel Ngog is also attempting to make an impact for Liverpool and will be fighting for a spot. It would become crowded up top should Huntelaar move to Liverpool.
