After weeks of negotiations, it appears that a deal between Valencia and Manchester City has been reached involving Valencia midfielder David Silva. It is reported that City’s 35 million Euro bid was enough to win over the Spanish international, despite a last minute offer from Chelsea.

            Silva was reluctant to move to Manchester because he did not want to play for a team that would not partake in the UEFA Champions League next season, but City’s front office was able to convince Silva that he would be a vital part of their team come next season.

            Silva’s attacking mentality from the midfield is exactly was City has been looking for, and certainly they will see results from the Spain star. Silva’s contract should keep him in Manchester until 2014.
