Arsenal have launched an £11 million bid for Dutch starlet Ibrahim Afellay. The PSV Eindhoven player provides creativity and imagination on offense and would bolster the Gunners attack, especially if captain Cesc Fabregas completes a move to Barcelona, as is expected. The swoop for Afellay seems to come from a recommendation from fellow Dutch international and Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie, who has stated his desire to have the young midfielder join him in London. PSV have entered difficult times financially and they expected to accept Arsenal's fee for Afellay.
