Brazilian international Adriano said there was zero hesitation to sign with Barcelona once the Spanish club’s president presented him with the offer. Adriano officially became the newest member to Pep Guardiola’s club on Monday.

            Adriano previously played for fellow La Liga club Sevilla, but saw no way to turn down playing for Barcelona as he accepted the deal offering him 9.5 million Euros. Adriano’s ability to play both the midfield and back positions will lend much depth to Barcelona in the upcoming season.

            While being presented to the Barcelona faithful on Monday, Adriano stated how easy of a decision it was to sign with Barcelona.

            “When the president called me, I didn’t think for a second before signing for Barcelona,” said Adriano. “ And now I am left with tremendous joy to have the opportunity to wear this shirt.”
